Céline Mathy works as clinical psychologic at the University of Liège for 18 years.
Aware of therapeutic education, she is particularly attentive to information and prevention. Her research aims at improving patients’ compliance to a treatment based on regular physical exercises. This is how she has integrated the back school of the Princesse Paola’s Hospital in Marche-en-Famenne in 2012 et the one of the general hospital Bois de l’Abbaye two years after. There, she presents collectives courses about the pain management as well as the stress management. She also proposes individual appointments (psychologic evaluation and handling of patients with chronical pains).
Moreover, she is the co-founder and the managing director of the Arthrosis Foundation since 2015, so she pays attention to this disease as well.
Member of the French Society of Rheumatology, she attends and participates into numerous congresses regarding lumbago and osteoarthritis and has been awarded in 2013 with the « Under 34 Competition » price assigned by the Scientific Committee of the BMJD Congress, in Brussels.
